Scholarship: Investment In People

Your investment in a student will impact the lives of many people. Designated scholarship contributions go toward the tuition and room/board costs of the scholarship student. Students are selected based on family need, academic excellence, and teacher's recommendation. For University students ($600 USD/yr), support starts in their second year and continues through graduation. Your investment in these students will impact many lives and change the students. Your encouragement will give them much confidence and understanding of people who care.

The Foundation will provide a scholarship for students of Tongren University who demonstrate their desire and qualifications. The cost of one year is approximately $600 USD (4800 RMB - 2005). The Foundation accepts any size contributions for the scholarship program. Education is the only way that allows students to break free of the cycle of poverty and subsistence farming that their families have endured for generations. Contributions are accepted for any amount. Some give a full year ($600 USD), a group of six could give $60 each. Or an organization may support a full scholarship for the three years, $1,800 USD, while others may give any amount.

Zimmer Foundation is a US 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization established in memory of Rev. & Mrs. Gerald Zimmer who served in China 1936-1948. At the end of the year each donor will receive a tax-deductible receipt.
